The Power Of "I Can!"
About 15 years ago, I was working as an enrichment associate, for an afterschool program. I wrote an educational rap for a group of 3rd-graders, called “Yes, I Can!” Three years later, I was asked to teach the children at my church the same song, and it was defiantly a memorable moment. I remember teaching the song to students, every time I had the chance. The words, “I Can,” are so powerful. It became more real to me, as I sat down to take my teacher certification test.
